Colorful Celebrations in Bursa for Osman Gazi Commemoration and Conquest Day

Bursa's Osman Gazi Commemoration and Conquest Day Celebrations, which are held for the 20th time this year, started with colorful festivities. The day began with a conquest prayer at the Grand Mosque and continued with an official opening ceremony at Tophane Square followed by a conquest march. The Mehter Band attracted attention during the march.

Sultan Ibrahim, Sultan IV. Mehmed Periods and Bursa Symposium were part of the events for Osman Gazi Commemoration and Bursa's Conquest Day. A conquest prayer was also held at the Grand Mosque before the morning prayer. Following the opening ceremony at Tophane, the conquest march ended at the Panorama Museum, with the participation of officials and citizens along the Sultanate Gate, Çakırhamam, and Atatürk Avenue.

During the conquest celebrations, several streets including Atatürk Avenue and Cumhuriyet Avenue were closed to traffic until the end of the events. Next week, on April 13th, a bride's dowry ceremony will take place in Soğukpınar Neighborhood. Additionally, a village wedding will be held in Çaybaşı Neighborhood. On April 27th, the Rahvan Horse Race will bring hundreds of horses from all over Turkey to compete for victory.

The International Historical People's Race, which will see participation from thousands of local and foreign athletes and citizens, will start on May 4th from the Sultanate Gate. An award ceremony will be organized in Pınarbaşı Square for the athletes who achieve a top ranking on the same day.
