Dr. Ertuğrul Tetik celebrates 23 April and the 105th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Grand National Assembly

Nazilli Mayor Dr. Ertuğrul Tetik emphasized in his message that the 23rd of April 1920 was a historical turning point where the will of the people was officially realized and sovereignty was unconditionally entrusted to the nation.

"23 April is not only a symbol of our national sovereignty; it is also unique in the world as the only holiday dedicated to children," said Mayor Tetik, highlighting that Atatürk's dedication of this significant day to children is the clearest indication of whom the future is entrusted to.

"Our children are the greatest guarantee for our Republic to reach brighter tomorrows. We must work together for them to grow up as modern, productive, and confident individuals. With these feelings and thoughts, I sincerely congratulate all our dear children and our entire nation on the 23rd of April National Sovereignty and Children's Day, and wish for a healthy and successful future," he stated.
