Strike Ballot at Jantsa Factory
Jantsa, which is among Turkey's leading companies and employs 1,300 workers, held a strike ballot where the majority of workers voted 'no' to going on strike. In a recent negotiation for a collective labor agreement at Jant Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (JANTSA) factory in Aydın, the employer failed to meet the workers' demands, resulting in no agreement.Union Involvement
Following the failure to reach an agreement, United Metal Workers Union announced that if demands were not met, a strike would begin at the factory on May 28th. However, the majority of workers voted against the strike on the planned date, thus eliminating the possibility of a strike at the factory. The collective bargaining negotiations at the company are still ongoing.Grev Oylaması ve Sonuçları
Jantsa'da gerçekleştirilen grev oylamasında işçilerin çoğunluğu greve gitmeme kararı aldı. İşveren, işçilerin taleplerini karşılamayan bir teklif sununca anlaşma sağlanamamıştı. Bu durumun ardından Birleşik Metal-İş sendikası, fabrikada grev başlatma tehdidinde bulundu. Ancak işçilerin çoğunluğu planlanan tarihte greve gitme kararı almadı, bu da fabrikada grev olasılığını ortadan kaldırmış oldu. Şirkette toplu iş sözleşmesi görüşmeleri devam ederken, İŞKUR tarafından yapılan grev oylamasının sonucu Kamuyu Aydınlatma Platformu'nda açıklandı.
