Successful Participation in the Trans Taurus Mountain Bike Stage Races
Eda Konuk and Eren Keskin from Eskişehir Gençlikspor Sports Club achieved great success by winning first place in the Mix Category at the Trans Taurus Mountain Bike Stage Races in Kemer, Antalya. The race, which took place for the third time this year, brought together mountain, gravel, and e-bike enthusiasts.Around 100 athletes from Turkey, Russia, Colombia, Belarus, and Poland participated in the races that lasted four days and four stages on a 200-kilometer route. Coached by Gökay Konuk, who is also an athlete, the competitors attracted attention with their extraordinary performance in challenging stages.The race started from the city center of Kemer with a 20-kilometer qualifying tour that began at Olbia Park and passed through the unique seaside and urban areas of Kemer to reach Kemer Marina. In the following days, the athletes faced tough challenges on mountain roads like Kuzdere, Kesme Boğazı Canyon, Gedelme, Ovacık, Örencik, Yarbaşçandır, and Katranbaşı.Riding through cedar forests during the stages, the cyclists successfully completed approximately 60-kilometer routes each. The final stage of the event started from Ovacık Plateau and ended in Kuzdere after passing through Çukur Yayla, Üçoluk, and Belenyayla with the impressive view of Tahtalı Mountain.Eda Konuk and Eren Keskin, who completed the race with great determination and dedication, stated that their next goal is to represent Turkey in prestigious international events.
