Umut Yılmaz's Message for May 19th

Şehitkamil Mayor Umut Yılmaz, in his message released for May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, stated that "The torch lit by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades 106 years ago shines proudly in the hands of our youth today."

Yılmaz emphasized that May 19th is not an ordinary day, but a symbol of the nation's determination, independence, and freedom. He mentioned how the spark ignited in Samsun has spread throughout Anatolia, driving imperialist forces away from our lands despite all odds, with the Turkish nation being the only one capable of such a feat.

He concluded his message by honoring Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country, stating that it is the duty of the youth to ensure that the Republic entrusted to them by Atatürk will endure forever.
